VNET

A VNET, or Virtual Network, is a logically isolated network in cloud computing environments that allows users to connect their cloud resources securely to each other and to on-premises networks. It provides a private, secure network space for users to operate their cloud services, enabling various functionalities such as communication, resource sharing, and managing security settings. VNETs enable users to define IP address ranges, create subnets, and establish routing tables and gateways to control the flow of traffic. They also support various features like network security groups, virtual private networks (VPNs), and peering to connect multiple VNETs. This isolation enhances security by controlling access to resources based on configured policies. VNETs are commonly used in services like Microsoft Azure but are a standard concept across many cloud platforms.
