SaaS

SaaS, or Software as a Service, is a software distribution model in which applications are hosted on a cloud service provider's servers and made available to users over the internet. Instead of purchasing and installing software on individual computers, users access the software via a web browser, allowing for easy scalability and maintenance. SaaS eliminates the need for organizations to manage infrastructure, handle software updates, or worry about hardware compatibility, as all these responsibilities are managed by the service provider. This model typically operates on a subscription basis, where users pay a recurring fee to use the software. SaaS is commonly used for various applications, including email, customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), and collaboration tools, facilitating easier access and collaboration among users regardless of their location.
