Big Data
Big Data refers to the vast volumes of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data that are generated at high velocity from various sources. It encompasses data sets that are so large and complex that traditional data processing software cannot efficiently capture, store, manage, or analyze them. The key characteristics of Big Data are often summarized as the "Three Vs": Volume, which indicates the large amounts of data; Velocity, referring to the speed at which new data is generated and processed; and Variety, representing the different types of data from varied sources.Big Data analysis aims to uncover insights, patterns, and trends that can be used to inform decision-making and strategy across various domains such as business, healthcare, finance, and social science. Technologies and methodologies, including machine learning, data mining, and distributed computing, are commonly employed to handle and analyze Big Data, transforming it into valuable information.
